Robin – Front Office Coordinator
Robin has been working with our patients as the front desk receptionist for the past fifteen years. She moved to Reno in 1996 from Indiana. Robin and her husband love spending time with their four children, four grandsons, and three Labrador Retrievers. She also enjoys time with family and friends, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, gardening, wine tasting, and one Hot Rod!
Patients love hearing Robin’s courteous voice and seeing her welcoming smile as they walk through the front door. She will gladly help you schedule your next appointment.
Andrea joined our team in August, 2016, and she is happy to help you answer questions about billing, insurance, treatment planning, and more. Andrea has been in the dental field for over 13 years, and she really understands the world of insurance and dental care.
Andrea was born and raised in Reno and is married to her high school sweetheart, who is a local Reno business owner. They love spending time with their two English Bulldogs and attending concerts and music festivals. In her spare time, Andrea nurtures her creative side, designing artistic jewelry, scarves, and more.
Janet – Dental Assistant
Janet is highly trained and experienced dental assistant who makes your appointments with Dr. Smith both positive and successful. Janet started dental assisting in 1972 and has worked for Dr. Smith since he joined the practice in 2006. She is truly dedicated to helping patients have an exceptional experience during their appointments.
Janet was born and raised in Reno and married her high school sweetheart 41 years ago. They have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. She enjoys watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Julie – Dental Assistant
Julie has been a dental assistant for over 20 years, and you will find her assisting Dr. Smith during your dental appointments. She enjoys building relationships with patients and making sure that they have the best experience possible.
Julie married her husband, Eric, in June of 2018, and they love taking advantage of all that the area has to offer. Julie loves to hike and paddleboard at Tahoe in the summer, and you will find her snowboarding on her days off in the winter. Julie and Eric also love to cook gourmet meals together.
Jessica – Dental Assistant
You may see Jessica at the front desk or in one of the treatment rooms. With a wide variety of skills, Jessica is able to provide excellent care to our patients by both assisting Dr. Smith and by helping Andrea and Robin with patient care in the front office. She has been working in the dental field since 2011 and loves learning and meeting new challenges. Outside of work, Jessica loves to travel and explore architecture, paint pottery, be creative with DIY projects, and root for her favorite basketball team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jessica was born and raised in Reno, and her favorite thing to do is spend time with her crazy and loud Guatemalan family.
Debbie – Dental Hygienist
Debbie is a dedicated and highly trained dental hygienist who is passionate about keeping patients’ smiles beautiful and healthy. She graduated from Loma Linda University with BS degree in dental hygiene in 1974. She moved to Reno in 1978 and has worked in our office since 2002. Debbie loves her job and has a sunny, positive outlook on life that makes patients look forward to their dental cleanings.
Debbie is married and has two children, one granddaughter, and two kittens. In her spare time, she loves to garden, hike, camp, and travel.
Shannon – Dental Hygienist
Shannon is a caring and skilled hygienist who is dedicated to every step of patient care. She was born and raised in Reno, attended both UNR and TMCC, and graduated from dental hygiene school in 2006. She has been married for 15 years and has two beautiful girls, ages 10 and 7, and 4 dogs that keep them very busy. She enjoys camping, skiing, horseback riding, and spending time with her family.
Kendra – Dental Hygienist
Kendra is a hygienist who is passionate about helping patients meet their dental health needs. After spending three years as a dental assistant, Kendra decided to attend dental hygiene school, graduating from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2003. If you are feeling anxious about your dental visit, she will put you at ease and talk you through your appointment step by step. Kendra also loves educating young people about the importance of starting off right with good oral care.
Kendra grew up in the Reno/Sparks area, and now she enjoys the many outdoor activities with her husband, three children, and “Dozer” the dog. She loves the proximity we have to Tahoe and makes time to hike, horseback ride, and read. As a family, they enjoy camping and setting out on road trips.
